Prospering Pain is a photo series I created to help me navigate my faith. Questioning this abundant beauty that has been seemingly poisoned, has followed me throughout my youth. The battle between my faith and I is everlasting, the more I reach for it, the further it runs. Facing God feels like standing naked in front of the mirror with all of the lights on. I hope to bring a sense of understanding and relation to my feelings of longing, disconnection and disdain. Whether it be with faith, family, or emotions, this push and pull between peace and pain is strenuous.
